Jeff Waplak

Registered Psychotherapist | MA

Interpersonal connection and relationship development present challenges in our day to day lives. Some challenges can be solved through shared attention together and we move on. Other challenges lead to breakdowns in communication, poor problem solving, the experience of difficult emotions, and disrupt our relationships.

I support you in understanding difficult life situations, handle difficult emotions, engage in problem solving, and build better connections within yourself and with others.

By creating a safe relationship for exploration, we can learn your view of the world, understand impacts from your life experiences, and utilize your strengths for moving forward.

Experience: I have been a Registered Psychotherapist since 2015 with the creation of the College of Registered Psychotherapists and have been working within public and private practices since 1995. I have utilized my graduate degree in Clinical Psychology (minor in Law and Politics) to work with individuals experiencing complex life experiences, developmental issues, and mental health conditions to advance their quality of life. I have experience in the provision of psychotherapy, conducting assessments, and supporting complex wrap around treatment plans. I have worked at Quinte Healthcare Corporation, Quinte Children’s Homes, Applewood Academy, and Stevenson, Waplak & Associates. I have also dedicated time to hold Board positions with Ontario Association of Residence Treating Youth, Albert College, and Safeguards.
